Food Review: Dallas Chicken & Ribs

Hoookay this is a looong overdue food review. 1 week overdue to be exact!
Anyhoos, me and Intan went to Dallas Chicken & Ribs at Chinatown last week to try the food there, after hearing so many reviews about it. We went, we conquered and we ate!

That's the place. We got lost trying to find the place actually, lol. The interior of the restaurant is quite nice, comfortable and inviting, complete with loud hip hop music blaring (which I didn't quite like, considering I'm a rock kinda person) but still okay nevertheless.

We ordered the buffet, which costs $10. There are other stuff too, like burgers, foldovers and stuff, an even pizza, which isn't fully ready in the menu yet. The buffet comes with a canned drink but you'll have to pay $1.20 for subsequent drinks.

The owner is quite friendly and I like his UK accent, hahaha. He's indian muslim if I'm not wrong and there's only 2 staffs there, himself and his friend I guess. Service was quite slow but it's ok since there's only 2 people and they cook the chicken after we order. Chicken...





Very VERY delicious. The chicken is fresh and the breast is very very tender and good to eat, unlike what you get at KFC or even Popeyes for that matter. The flavour is bursting but it was tad too salty to my liking. From what I've heard it's not that salty now. The chicken is served piping hot and I think I devoured the whole thing within minutes, lol.

The fries is normal but 1 thing I liked was how they have a separate sachet for the salt. I prefer my fries without salt and this is a good idea!

After the chicken we ordered more chicken and some nuggets..

Yum.. :-) Ok to be honest the nuggets are mediocre, my sec school's nugget tasted better, lol. The drumlets are yummy though. And a little spicy.

Suggestions for Dallas Chicken and Ribs:

Serving the food a little faster

Lower down the darn music and player other genres! Music affects dining experience.

Provide cups and ice for the canned drinks

Introduce crispy version of chickens.

Place napkins and condiments at a corner or provide bottle chilli and tomato sauce on each table.

In a nutshell, Dallas Chicken & Ribs is value for money, a comfy place to eat and chit chat with your friends and a place with damn good chicken. I don't mind going back and I certainly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
